I don’t know what is wrong with me but I don’t want to blog today. Â It’s not actually that I don’t have anything to say. Â Hmmmm! Â I just don’t feel like typing. Â Weird.

Wow so I feel like there is so much to catch up on right now. Â First off, M and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving at his parent’s house. Â The food was delicious and I didn’t have to make any of it. 🙂 I also managed to drag M to the beach Thursday afternoon to take a few pictures. Â I think I got some really great ones but I spent last night editing some other ones.
Friday the guys played golf so Jill and I went to a few local stores. Â I have been on a search for earrings for my wedding and Jill said she would buy them for Christmas if I could find some. Â I really had no idea what I was looking for. Â I didn’t know if I wanted clear earrings or maybe pink ones. Â We walked in the first boutique and found the jewelry. Â I found a pair of hot pink earrings. Â They were nice but I wasn’t sure they were exactly what I wanted. Â As we wondered around some more I found another pair of pale pink drops. Â I held onto them and looked a little more. Â I finally decided they were the ones I wanted. Â And after trying them on at the house I knew they were perfect. Â Now I have to wait to Christmas. Â 🙂
Friday was also a very big day for Auburn. Â We played our in-state rival Alabama. Â I think Alabama was on a 4 game win streak. Â At the end of the first half Auburn was down by 21. Â OMG, we are going to lose! Â Somewhere in the back of my heart I knew Auburn would win this game. Â We’ve come too far to give it all away and with the second half came a new wind. Â Auburn managed to find their rhythm and won the game 28-27. Â YAY!!!
Saturday M and I ran to the outlets. Â Unfortunately neither of us managed to find much. Â And yesterday we woke up and headed home. Â I had my first “real” photo session yesterday with some friends. Â I took E’s maternity pics. Â And I must say I got a few really good shots. Â Here are a few.
And my personal fave….

I decided the blog needed a new feel to it. Â Yesterday I decided to make a few changes. Â I found a format that is more customizable. Â It allows you to change the background, add new header pictures and several other things. Â There is also a new title! Â I think this is more relevant to what the blog actually is, a day in my life.
So far I think I like the changes.  There might be a few more things I tweak but I can’t imagine it will be much different.  I thought I would explain the update and move on.
M and I are headed to the beach this afternoon to have Thanksgiving with his parents. Â I must say a trip to the beach will be a nice little break. Â The weather is still really nice considering it is the end of November. Â And I fully intend on going to the beach club house at some point and drinking a nice glass of wine. Â Maybe take a few pics.
I feel like I haven’t taken pictures in a while. Â First I need to clean my camera. Â What started out as a few spots on the corner has turned into an ordeal. Â I had my dad look at it when we were in MS but he only managed to disperse them, doh! Â I called Wolf Camera this morning to see how much a cleaning kit was but apparently they frown upon that and recommend shipping it out. Â Well since I am taking E’s maternity pics on Sunday, I don’t really have time for that. Â Plus I’m not really going to pay the $60.00. Â I’ll figure it out. Â 🙂
Speaking of, I am doing my first maternity pictures this weekend. Â I will meet B & E at the Bell Tower on Sunday. Â I had hoped the leaves would hang around until we were able to get some pics done, but no such luck. Â Oh well. Â I’ll have to work with what nature has given me. Â Wish me luck!
Here’s to wishing everyone a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. Â I just need to finish up some work so I can get out of here!

I am all over the place today with wedding ideas. Â It started last night as I began to think about our photo share cards. Â Most couples set up an email address to use with a photo share site. Â You give your guests the website information and then they can upload their pictures to the site. Â This allows the bride, groom and guests to view all the pics and order prints.
This morning I spent a good deal of time on Vistaprint trying to decide what I wanted to use. Â I have two options currently, one is a postcard the other a business card. Â I told M to check them out and see what he thought. Â He liked one design better then the other but is still not “sold” on the idea.
Since I’m waiting on him to “buy” this idea I’ve switched gears and now I’m working on day of time-lines. Â Which honestly isn’t easy when you aren’t exactly sure how your day will go yet. Â Again, I am completely all over the place.
It seems like it comes in stages with me. Â I will be obsessed with wedding ideas for a few days. Â Then I get distracted and move on to other things. Â Then I will come back to the wedding stuff. Â I guess this works well, I don’t burn myself out trying to get too many things going at once.
I kind of feel spaztastic today with my level of focus! Â HA! Â I’ve had no focus what so ever. Â Good thing it is a short week.
As I sit here thinking of the work I could be doing, my mind is wondering what other wedding things I could play around with. Â I think the door hangers have inspired me. Â Ughh, oh well. Â I’ll see what I can do. hehe!

*Sorry this is so scattered. Â This is my life today.
In the world of weddings you know that OOT stands for Out of Town. Â In my case it will stand for out of town bags. Â Most of the knotties make OOT bags for their guests. Â I’ve toyed with the idea for months now. Â And decided that since M and I would arrive several days after most guests, what would be the point? Â Well Saturday I finally caved. Â After running across a cute Do Not Disturb door hanger, I knew OOT bags were in my future.
I spend most of Saturday afternoon playing around in Publisher trying to get just the right fonts for my hangers, in between watching the State/Carolina game.  Anyway, once I was satisfied I had exactly what I was looking for I showed M.  He agreed they were a cute idea.  Considering they say “Please do not disturb.  We are recovering from Matt and Kelly’s wedding.” 🙂
I will add a few more items to the bags, but I don’t want to give all my secrets away just yet. Â But I will say a trip to Michael’s at lunch successfully found the exact number of watermelon colored card stock I needed. Â I had planned to print them off at work but our copier has a few random black dots so I’m not going to waste my card stock.
And for those who don’t watch football, NC State pulled off another win against the University of Carolina. Â 4 in a row!!!! GO PACK!

Well I think I have Vertigo. It started Wednesday night and has continued. While not as bad as the other day I still feel myself going in and out of “spin” mode. I told M no one should feel this way without first consuming copious amounts of alcohol. M keeps telling me to go to the doctor but I’m sure it will pass, hopefully sooner rather then later.
I made it to work today and around 10am I didn’t know if I would make it all day. I made M drive me to work since I didn’t feel I could or should. He told me before lunch that if wasn’t going to make to let him know otherwise I’d be stuck at work. So I guess I am stuck here until he picks me up.
I haven’t managed to get much done. My pace today is SLLLLOOOWWWW. I’m trying to move the least amount possible. I sound pretty pathetic right now. Oh well. At least I will have to weekend to hopefully get this knocked out. If it isn’t gone by Monday a visit to the doctor could be in order.
I guess I will try to do a little work now. Happy Friday!

I was so excited that M was home last night it made my head spin. Literally. I went to lay down with him and the room started spinning. Nothing says Welcome home more then, I have to vomit now. I woke up this morning still feeling ill so I called in to say I’d be out.
I finally moved to the couch in hopes I would start to feel a little better. I started surfing the net and saw a post on the DW board about a bridal shop in Chicago burning down. Then on FB there was a link to a google doc where you could put down your information if you had a dress you could donate. Gee, there is one in my closet. I immediately signed up and linked to pics of the dress. Within minutes I had an email from CNN asking if they could use pics of my dress and would I mind doing an interview. I responded that I had uploaded pics to the site and I would be happy to interview. A few minutes later my cell phone rang. OMG CNN is calling me. I spoke to the reporter about why I would donate my dress and how I would feel if that had happened to me. She said she would send me a link to the article once it was up.
I immediately called M, who didn’t answer. Next I called my mom, who didn’t answer, so I called back and told her the story. M finally called back and I explained to him what was going on.
A few minutes ago I got an email with a link to the article. And what is the first thing you see? MY DRESS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I’m quoted on CNN! How amazing. And more amazing are all the girls willing to help and donate their dresses. I know not many people read this but I am including the link to the article which also links to the google doc.
If you have a dress please consider how you would feel if, before you wore it, it was destroyed in a fire. Help other brides.

Since M was in Canada last night, I decided to treat myself to some yummy Chinese food for dinner. I stopped by the Panda Wok on my way home, grabbed some fried rice and veggie lo mien and headed to the house. I chatted with M on IM while I ate dinner and watched TV. He was exhausted from his long day and went to bed early. I didn’t actually get to talk to him since it’s like 69 cents a minute to call from Canada! BOOO!
While I was watching Glee I decided I needed to get on it if I was going to color my hair. – Back story, I got highlights a few months ago. The stylist did an all over color glaze after the highlights in hopes of getting me to a more natural hair color. Since this FAILED miserably, I now had 3 inch dark roots underneath all the highlights. While I can manage the root situation on top for a few more weeks, the underneath was driving me nuts. At Target the other day I decided to pick up some brown hair color and see what would happen. – I grabbed a mirror and began to figure out where the highlights ended and what should be a solid color. Once I had my line, I mixed the color, applied, waited 20 minutes and voila, brown hair. Now I will see how long the $3.50 box of color compares to the salon color that lasted less then 2 weeks. Plus side, it was still brown after I washed this morning, YAY! (Normally it washes out, that’s another blog.)
With hair color done, shirts washed, and TV watched I headed upstairs. I watched TV for a while and decided to go to bed. First there was Julio attacking Halle in another “no one should sleep at night so I’m gonna be a crazy cat” episode. Then there was the monsoon that hit around midnight. Finally I got to sleep. Around 4:30 there was another Julio attack and both cats where banished from the bedroom. Then there was the alarm. Ughh! Can a girl just get some sleep? Needless to say I’m pretty tired today. Plus we had breakfast at work this morning and nothing screams NAP TIME like a plate full of carbs first thing in the morning.
Everyone has been pretty sluggish this morning, trying to push through the carb induced comas.
M is on his way home! YAY! And he even told me he bought some presents, double YAY!
And on one weird note, I received my VERY FIRST non friend comment on my blog. Unfortunately I think it was spam as it said something about a colon cleanse. Dammit! Maybe one day!

M had to get up at 3am to get ready for his 6am flight to Toronto today.  Since he knew he would only get a few hours of sleep he went to bed pretty early. I stayed up and watched TV for a while. After I finally laid down I realized I hadn’t seen Julio in a while. With M in and out of stuff, I started to worry Julio had been locked in a closet somewhere and I would fall asleep and he would spend the night locked away. Of course I couldn’t let that happen so I walked down stairs to find him. As soon as I was in the den he came over to me. I told him it was time for bed and we headed upstairs.
Once we were in the bedroom I laid him on the bed next to Hal. I figured he would be sleepy and go to sleep. Ummm, yeah. He decided it was time to play jump on Halle. This of course woke M up. I finally put Julio in the hall and shut the door. Then, poor thing, I could hear him sticking his little feet under the door and meowing. Seriously?!?!?! I decided to put Hal out too, to be fair. Then I hear BOOM CRASH and M say “wtf was that?” I get up and the table in the hallway has been knocked over. The vase is on the floor and Hal is the the middle of the flowers. I pick everything up and head back to bed, with the door shut again.
Hopefully tonight will be a lot less eventful. I guess I will do some laundry and my hair, again. I had hoped to have a movie for tonight but I don’t think that will happen. I guess M will just have to watch Letters to Juliet this weekend with me. 🙂
*and just to clarify, I am almost 100% certain Julio knocked over the vase and table. I think Hal was checking out the damage.

This weekend I finally made M go shopping for wedding bands. I told him we weren’t going to buy them yet but he really needed to start looking. I know him and it will take him forever. And thanks to a broken pinkie years ago, a wedding band might be a little uncomfortable. After looking a little I think he has narrowed down the type of metal he might want. He even got the style number of one :D Does this mean I think the hunt is over? Not by a long shot. I will probably wait til the new year before I really put the pressure on him to figure it out.
Meanwhile, I’m pretty sure I found my wedding band. It is a little more then we had talked about spending but it is far less then the other ones we looked at. It is platinum and has diamonds on the band. I really didn’t figure I would be able to find one for the price we found. Granted it’s on sale but the sale will last through the end of February. YAY!
Since we have so many other things coming up soon, like Christmas, and football tickets and car insurance the wedding bands will have to wait. Till then I’ll just keep looking at the pic of the one I want.
Also, we went to 3 jewelery stores, all nice ones, and all 3 mis-identified my diamond. I got emerald cut, princess cut and one person was just like, what is that? HA! And I thought these people knew what they were doing. :) Oh well, it just goes to show it is pretty uncommon and I like that.
Til tomorrow!
