I feel like my life is too busy to be boring but OMG nothing interesting has happened lately. Â But we have some pretty funny furbabies.
As I’m sitting here typing Hal is laying on the other couch snoring. Â Yes she snores and quite loudly for a little kitty. Â It’s funny because M and I will be sitting on the couch watching tv and we’ll hear her. Â We just look at each other and laugh.
Julio is very funny for a little kitty.  Or the ginourmous kitty he actually is.  He’s not very coordinated for a cat.  I’ve seen him miss a step numerous times coming up the stairs.  He also LOVES his carrier.  He is now almost too big for his carrier but if we have it out he will go sit in it all by himself.  And his new obsession, straws.  He LOVES to play straw.  In fact we have random straws all over the house.  He discovered straws a month or so ago.  I used to put a straw in my water beside the bed.  Then one day, they were his new favorite toy.  No straw is safe in the house.  Hence I can no longer use straws.  🙁
I had hoped to get a pic of him in his carrier but he’s busy playing, obviously NOT in his carrier. Â 🙂

I’m not going to say much about this. Â I think the pic pretty much says it all. Â But let me say I don’t think you should own a dog if you are going to do this to him. Â And I really wonder about the groomers who did this to the poor dog!

*shakes head* Â And for what it’s worth I don’t find this poor thing remotely cute. Â I just feel really really sad for him or her.
For years now I’ve wanted to try Bare Minerals makeup. Â I can’t imagine it had anything to do with my former obsession with infomercials. Â Anyway after consulting some of the knotties I decided I would give it a try. Â M and I ran by the mall yesterday to go to the store. Â Since I really had no idea what to do I decided it might be best to let someone show me. Â I sat down and proceeded to let the sales guy tell me more. Â Yes I said sales guy and YES he was wearing makeup (it was pretty natural but still). Â He showed me the different steps and made me up. Â 🙂
At first I wasn’t quite sure what I thought but my make up looked good. Â A little more then I normally do but I figured that was par for the course. Â The more the make up settled, the more I liked it. Â I had a nice glow and my skin looked great. Â I must say I really felt pretty.
This morning I had my first shot at swirling and buffing. Â My first few attempts didn’t seem to do much. Â I added a little more powder and kept going. Â I finally thought I had enough on and continued to the next step. Â This step went pretty well and I finished up. Â I know it will take a few days to get everything figured out but so far so good.
And if I can just say, I was so excited about my new make up I dreamed about it all last night. 😀
Today I had an appointment with the dermatologist. Â I’ve had a little spot on my cheek for a while now that I’ve ignored. Â But a few weeks ago it got really itchy and scaly and would bleed when I scratched it. Â I decided it was time to have it removed. Â Thankfully I didn’t think too much about the removal process or I might have freaked out. Â I guess I thought she would freeze it off so I didn’t think about the fact I might get a shot in my cheek. 🙁 Â I was a big girl and I made it through the shot and the removal. Â Now I have a little band aid that I have to wear on my face until it heals. Â BOOOO! Â The doc said they should have the pathology back in a week or so. Â Hopefully it will just be a little sun damage.

So this should be an interesting post. Â 🙂 Â We had an offsite meeting today and there were adult beverages. Â And then I thought the afternoon was just too nice to stay inside so I made M go to Lynnwood to have drinks.
Anyhoo, Julio has always had “tummy troubles” (if you have a weak stomach you might want to stop reading here).  The vet chalked this up to something early on and we put him on a good high fiber diet.  Since starting the higher fiber diet I noticed a difference in his said tummy troubles however, he still has a few.  Most noticeably these seem to happen if you pick him up incorrectly. Like grabbing his back leg the wrong way.  Every now and then I will go to pick him up, mostly in the mornings, and “poo” will come out.  Yes, it happens.  This is then followed by string of cuss words and some clean up.  Most recently when it happened he poo’ed on my robe.  Dammit!  And while I tend to get mad, I can’t help but laugh at the situation.
M also tends to think it is quite hilarious when Julio’s tummy troubles end up on me. Â Well tonight, tonight I FINALLY got my revenge. Â M was in the kitchen, picked him up and I hear “Did you poo on me?” Â “I think he just poo’ed on me!” Â HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Â Yep it was poo. Â M FINALLY got poo’ed on. Â I am still chuckling to myself writing this post. Â 🙂
M went upstairs to change shirts and I thanked Julio for his kind gesture. Â It is about time M got poo’ed on. Â 🙂
Happy Friday. Â May you NOT be poo’ed on! 🙂

This might be a reoccurring theme throughout the next 78 days!  HOLY CRAP!  The days are just flying by.  One minute I’m super excited and like WOW, the next I’m like OMG, AHHHHHHHHHHH!  But really I am so glad that I met M and that he will be my husband in 78 days.  🙂
I’m pretty sure I should have a pre-wedding freak out soon. Â I figure the sooner the better. Â You know just to get it out of the way. Â I’m sure M will really appreciate it. Â 🙂
Thank goodness it’s Thursday!

Okay so there are a few things I suck at. Â Now don’t get me wrong, the list is quite short but still. Â 🙂 Â My hair is one of those things. Â Most days I think I have pretty great hair. Â (Yes I just said that. Â 😉 ) Â Albeit normally its just straight.
As a child I always had super straight, super fine hair. Â This made it hard to really “play” with my hair. Â So to say I have little to no experience is pretty accurate. Â As I got older I was so used to not doing anything that I still never learned how to create cute styles. Â I pretty much have ponytail, twisty up, down, and half up down pat. Â If a style strays from this I am at a loss. Â Really.
Well since the wedding is coming up, and soon. Â I’ve been more and more concerned with how I am going to wear my hair. Â As I mentioned, I plan to do this myself, AHHHH! Â Tonight I broke out the curling iron and started to go. Â After a few failed attempts I finally managed to get curls. Â Bad curls, but curls. Â Pulled to the side in a low ponytail and we have a winner. Â I think I will add a small braid to the side and be done. Â And now for a pic and another thing I suck at, taking pics of myself in the mirror. Â 🙂

See I think the hair is decent. Â And I think I have scrapped the idea of tousled. Â Well scrunching to tousle.
Notice the pic is bad. Â I have no idea how people seem to do this. Â You know the whole “ahh I’m sexy taking my own pic in the bathroom mirror.” Â Yes I am making fun because I think it is LAME!

I’ve mentioned that over the past few days I’ve started learning credit and contracts. Â Well today I decided it was time to make my title reflect my new duties. Â I went to my boss to get the okay and he was pretty much like whatever. Â So with that I mean I should be VP of contracts and credit right? Â Ha! No, too much? Â 🙂 Â Yes I’m pretty sure that one wouldn’t fly. Â I found something more appropriate and now I am the contracts and credit department.
And just remember I know have the power to REJECT! Â And I have a button. Â 🙂

It was another busy day today. Â And it make it worse it was a beautiful warm day out AND M had the day off. Â That’s right, he had President’s day off! Â ARGGGG!
We also had a beautiful weekend and M and I made the most of it by shopping.  HA!  Yep that’s right we went shopping.  First we picked up his linen pants and started looking for a shirt.  A fellow knottie posted a nice shirt the other day and M liked it so we headed to Macy’s in search.  We found the shirt but weren’t completely sold on it being “the one”.  Once we got home he tried on his new outfit and we both decided the shirt was just a little too causal.  Thankfully for us, Macy’s decided to leave the security tag on another shirt we bought for him so yesterday we headed BACK to the mall to have the tag removed.  While we were there we headed to Belk to see if they had anything good.  We found a great Calvin Klein shirt on sale and picked that one  up.
Last night M tried on both shirts with his new pants and flip flops and we decided the Calvin won. Â It is a dark blue, not quite navy, and against the white pants, it looks really nice. Â The contrast of the blue and white really pop.
And with that we saw a really cool cloud Saturday while we were out. Â I took a pic with my phone so it’s not great.

It would figure that just as I am starting to learn a new position things would speed up.  Over the past few months things have been pretty slow and it has barely been enough for one person to do, let alone two.  But wouldn’t you know that as I am ramping up to start working our credit and contracts, this would get busy.  While I am not technically supposed to start doing this full time till Monday (and not officially taking over till March 1).  I have been pretty much approving contracts and credit for the past few days.  With the exception of a few things I still can’t do I’m running this biotch!  🙂
Luckily for me, A-dub has picked up our new responsibilities quite easily (I will give myself a pat on the back for being the BEST TEACHER EVER!)  This will make it easier as we make the transition into this new role.  And just as luck would have it we will also be moving away from the current system in another month or so.  Our group is looking to make our services monthly and that would no longer really require credit checks or contracts.
So really, who knows what the future will hold.  Just as long as I can get enough time during the day to blog because trying to blog at home kind of sucks!  I like the few minutes a day I can squander away blogging.
Happy Friday!

DOF is depth of field. Â I want to start taking better pics and I think I will end of taking some classes to help me get better. Â Tonight I got a little bug to start playing around with depth of field. Â A quick google search and I found a pretty good tutorial. Â While I was waiting for my pizza to cook, I grabbed my camera and took a few pics of the orchid I got for Valentine’s day. Â While the pics aren’t great, bad lighting etc., I think I did a pretty good job of achieving DOF.
