Lost Jun 15

In light of today’s schedule I decided it would be easier to just take the day off.  Doctor appointment, car appointment, and this afternoon the dreaded EYE doctor.  Ugh.  I hate the eye doctor.  Well not so much the doctor himself but the process.  I’m not sure but for some reason North Carolina insists that you have to have your eyes dilated.  I HATE this.  The numbing drops always make me feel weird which normally leads to me sitting with my head between my knees.  :)  Thankfully M is kind enough to escort me and put up with the shenanigans that will follow.

I feel like I have been all over the place this morning.  Maybe that’s because I have.  Let me just say I HATE CARY!!!!  Every time I go over to that side of town I get lost.  Could the signs be more confusing?!?!? Apparently not.  I shake my head as I continue to wonder why I leave the house without the GPS.  Cary Crossroads (it’s a shopping center) has to be one of the most confusing places in the world.  I can get there just fine but leaving is like trying to get off the Island in Lost.  I always get turned around, confused and normally end up going the wrong direction.  This leads to more turning around, and in today’s case more lost-ness.  Seriously, it’s pretty crazy.

I’ve also decided to start cooking one day a week, which will start today.  And by cooking I mean finding a recipe, buying the ingredients and preparing a meal.  Hopefully as this new challenge will accomplish a few things.  First and foremost, making me a better cook and secondly finding meals that I will begin to make on a regular basis.  Sort of like the movie Julie and Julia, minus some of the complicated stuff.  Start small and work from there.  I feel like I am just now beginning to make good eggs.  :)  Maybe one day I will be the cook I would like to be. 🙂

Here’s to an afternoon of no more getting lost, no passing out, and hopefully a yummy dinner.
