Today is dragging and I really have nothing to talk about. Â Since I was a slacker yesterday and didn’t blog until I got home I got to write about our first wedding gift. Â I am still excited about it.
M wrapped Julio in the bow so he also enjoyed the gift.

Happy Thursday!

I am super excited.  M im’ed me when he got home to ask I bought something that was shipped to the house.  I told him no and that it must be a wedding gift.  Our FIRST official gift off our registry!  I finally told him he could open the box but not before I looked to see what it was.  He opened the box but since the gift was wrapped he waited until I was home.
We were both surprised that the gift is from someone who is coming to the wedding. Â I figured it might be from one of the family members not able to attend. Â And it is a gift both of us really wanted to receive. Â We can use this for many many years. Â YAY! Â It is just very exciting. Â Things are starting to happen. Â 🙂

Yes, I know I know. Â I am a blog slacker. Â Yesterday was pretty busy at work and I was buried in rate centers most of the day. Â I meant to blog when I got home but by the time M reminded me it was late and I was over it. Â 🙂
I didn’t think I had any wedding related items from the weekend but I do. Â I had a small “hair” victory on Sunday. Â Last week I decided if I am going to do my hair for the wedding myself I need to get busy. Â While I was a Target I bought some mousse. Â I know mousse has a stigma but really, it works great. Â Anyway M wanted to go to the mall on Sunday and then we were going to a Super Bowl party. Â I mean what better time then to experiment on your hair. Â So that’s what I did. Â With mousse in hand I began. Â I scrunched my hair, added some styling cream and then diffused it out. Â (For those unfamiliar, a diffuser goes on the blow dryer and helps with curls. Â That is obviously the technical version. Â HA!)
Let me just say WOW! Â My hair was really really big when I finished diffusing it dry. Â I mean like, it hasn’t been that curly since I had a perm, curly. Â I knew there was no way I was leaving it down. Â But before I pulled it back I used the curling iron to help make a few curls a little more curly. Â Once this was done I pulled it back in a low side ponytail. Â My goal had been to have flowy curls at the bottom but that didn’t really work out. Â All in all though it actually looked pretty good. Â I decided to put in my wedding earrings and take a few pics. Â You must forgive the pic, but you get the idea.

Okay really it’s not a good pic but whatever. Â Here is my hair inspiration. Â As you can see I need more practice and LOTS of it. Â 🙂

Something similar to this but more ponytail/bunish.  If that makes any sense.  I know I will probably go to my stylist in the next few months and see if she can help me achieve the look I am going for.  Until then I will keep trying.

Last night M and I went to pick up his ring and, YAY, it was the right ring. Â But as predicted it was too small. Â Thank goodness it was only a little snug and they can stretch it out. Â So while they are stretching it they will also engrave it. Â They can’t really do what I want in house so they will send it to the Charlotte store to have it done there. Â I also found out that my ring should be in the beginning of March. Â This actually works out well as far as payments go. Â M paid off our hotel room today so our trip is officially paid for! Â Now we only have to worry about the rings and the reception. Â Neither of which is a big deal but it’s nice we can space everything out a bit.
Plus we also don’t know our exact number for the reception and we should have a better idea of this number in the next few weeks.
Also our koozies came in the mail yesterday. Â I wasn’t expecting them till today so I was really excited when I walked upstairs and there was a box on the counter. Â I Â must say, I did an excellent job! Â I designed our koozies using some clip art and pure imagination. Â 🙂 Â HAHA! Â Or just clip art but whatev!
I know all 5 readers are riveted to see them so here you go. Â And just remember you MUST come to the wedding in order to get one. Â 🙂 Â (Unless you are a co-worker and since you weren’t invited and I have a few extras, I’ll hook you up 😉 )

I am really glad I did the navy and pink. Â I think it is a good combo of colors and isn’t too girlie, which is what I was going for. Â I also like the little starfish. Â I personally, think they are in love. Â HA!
And I have completely lost control of this post. Â The heat of the office is getting to my head and things are beginning to spiral out of control. Â So I think I will stop while I’m ahead. Â 🙂
Happy Friday!

HAHA! Â Confused yet? Â Well if you remember, a few weeks ago I went to pick up my wedding band, only to find the wrong one had been ordered. Â While we were at the jewelry store M found his wedding band. Â I think I said it then but this was a HUGE deal and I was very excited he managed to pick one.
Anyway, yesterday while I was at work I got a call from a Raleigh number. Â I had been waiting to hear back from my hair stylist so I answered the phone. Â Instead of my stylist it was the sales girl from the jewelry store. Â She said that M’s ring was in and we could come and pick it up. Â M didn’t really want to go last night so I said we would go this weekend. Â But since I have another baby shower on Saturday I figured it might be hard to get there. Â So I asked him if he would want to go tomorrow night and he said he’s rather just go tonight. Â Works for me.
Honestly I wouldn’t care if he wanted to run there on his own but I really want to have his ring engraved so I figure it will be easier just to have them do it once we know the ring is right and it’s the right size. Â And while I’m talking about sizes I’m almost willing to be money his ring won’t fit. Â The girl tried several different ring sizers on him and they were all different sizes. Â A few months ago we were at the mall and he tried on a few rings. Â Each store in the mall sized him at a 9. Â The jewelry store sized him at an 8 and 1/4. Â Yeah, so if this thing actually fits I will be surprised. Â But if it does fit I am going to go ahead and have it engraved now.
I hope that my ring will be big enough to engrave but I don’t think it will. Â 🙁 Â I don’t know but I’ve always liked the idea of your wedding ring having a special inscription inside. Â I guess we will have to wait for my ring to come in before we know.
YAY Thursday!

Oh my gosh we are getting married in 100 days!!!!!!!!!! Â Where did the time go? Â It feels like we still have so much time but obviously as the days (and my ticker) countdown, time is flying by.
I feel pretty lucky in that, most of our stuff is now done. Â Just a few small random things left to do. Â And we still need to finish M’s wedding day wardrobe. Â He still needs a shirt and shoes. Â It also looks like I am going to need a seating chart. Â After our call with the coordinator we thought we might do a set menu but after a little talking we think we will offer our guests a choice of entree. Â What does this mean? Â It means I now have to make a seating chart and come up with some easy place card settings. Â I’m not gonna lie though, I’m kind of excited about getting to make place cards. Â And table name signs. Â Hehe. Â Don’t tell M, because it means there will be more stuff to take to St. Lucia. Â 😉
So with 100 days left till we get married, M keeps reminding me that we only have x amount (or today, 98) of days till we are actually in St. Lucia!

Ugh, I hope not. Â I guess numerous nights of NyQuil have finally caught up with me because I am now having problems sleeping. Â The past two nights I’ve laid in bed waiting for sleep to come. Â Last night was a little better but I NEED SLEEP! Â I don’t function well without it.
Thankfully I haven’t actually felt all that tired but still I LIKE sleep, a lot!  I even *gasp* decided to go to the gym after work in hopes burning some energy would help me sleep.  If I don’t sleep well tonight I’m going to have to break out the big guns, aromatherapy, chamomile tea and whatever else the internet tells me to do.  You know, because if it’s on the internet it’s true and wise.  HA!
I’m also hoping M’s cough calms down before bedo because his coughing didn’t do much to help me sleep last night. Â At one point he made a comment about neither of us sleeping. Â This. Must. Stop!
Oh sweet sleep please come back. Â I miss you!
