I think I’ve said this before but all this wedding planning has kicked my creativity into high gear. Â I am having a blast doing and creating things for our wedding. Â I even helped a fellow knottie with her invitation background yesterday. Â It makes me feel good I was able to help her out. Â (And even better that it took less then 10 mins start to finish 😉 )
Just a few months ago I had very limited knowledge of Photoshop. Â I’d never even opened Publisher. Â Now I feel I could conquer the world. Â Or at the very least some basic editing and design. Â Why oh why had I not learned these skills months ago? Â I used Photoshop to create our Save the Dates. Â And honestly, if I’d had the knowledge I have now I might would have done something differently. Â The one thing I spent the most time on is the one thing I’m just not super crazy about.
M admitted that he doesn’t like the pic we decided to put on it. Â I have to agree. Â We had a friend take some photos for us, and while I’m not complaining, I’m not crazy about any of the pics taken. Â Maybe it’s my fault for feeling rushed in trying to get them out so quickly. Â Oh well, they are done now and hanging on our friends and families refrigerators.
I hope that I will continue to find new and creative ways to use these skills. Â I foresee a long line of adorable/rough and tough birthday invites, party invitations, and Christmas cards, ala Kelly. Â Every project makes me feel more and more comfortable with my skill levels and more confident in the projects I can and will create.
I think that’s why I didn’t feel like blogging yesterday, I was working on the background. Â One creative outlet for another.
