M and I decided we would celebrate Valentine’s day on Sunday since Monday, is well Monday. \u00c2\u00a0Yesterday we went to brunch at\u00c2\u00a0Coquette\u00c2\u00a0in North Hills. \u00c2\u00a0It is a delicious French restaurant and their brunch was amazing. \u00c2\u00a0After brunch we headed downtown to Father and Sons antiques. \u00c2\u00a0I was really excited having read a few reviews. \u00c2\u00a0The place is 3 stories and I figured would be loaded with fun stuff. \u00c2\u00a0I must say I was quite disappointed. \u00c2\u00a0They have very few “antiques” and a lot of clothing. \u00c2\u00a0I guess my idea of antiques is different.<\/p>\n

I worked at an antique store for a while when I was in AL and I have to say, our store had really nice antiques. \u00c2\u00a0But we also had several other good stores in the area. \u00c2\u00a0Very little clothing, that’s what clothing stores are for. \u00c2\u00a0Point being, I was disappointed.<\/p>\n

Anyhoo, after the disappointment downtown we headed back to get our dinner. \u00c2\u00a0We decided we would cook a nice dinner just like we always do. \u00c2\u00a0I guess it is becoming a nice little tradition. \u00c2\u00a0One I really like. \u00c2\u00a0After a trip to Earth fare (or where ever we were) we had 2 nice New York Strips, sweet potatoes, dessert and one lovely orchid. \u00c2\u00a0Since M didn’t plan well I ended up picking out my own flowers. \u00c2\u00a0And since the orchid was the same price as flowers I decided to give it a go. \u00c2\u00a0I talked to the girl in the floral section to make sure I had a good idea of what this plant would need. \u00c2\u00a0And then I was set.<\/p>\n

Once we got home we decided to open the windows and take a little snoozer. \u00c2\u00a0We then got up and started working on dinner. \u00c2\u00a0M prepared the steaks and I worked on the sweet potatoes. \u00c2\u00a0I’ve never actually just cooked sweet potatoes so I wasn’t sure as to what to do. \u00c2\u00a0Once they were cooked I threw them in a bowl and started mixing away. \u00c2\u00a0I added this and that and I must say they were pretty darn good. \u00c2\u00a0*pats self on back* \u00c2\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

M threw the steaks on the grill and before we knew it we had a nice dinner. \u00c2\u00a0Steaks, wine, sweet potatoes and of course the world’s largest cupcakes. \u00c2\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I didn’t make them but boy were they yummy. \u00c2\u00a0And we didn’t do much to put a dent in them either. \u00c2\u00a0Looks like we will have our cake for a while.<\/p>\n
