I didn’t want to jinx it yesterday so I didn’t say anything about the predicted snowfall for today. \u00c2\u00a0They were predicting a dusting to 2″ by this morning. \u00c2\u00a0I woke up around 3am and looked for snow. \u00c2\u00a0No snow. \u00c2\u00a0I woke up around 5am and the streets were covered with the white stuff but the ground only had a light dusting.<\/p>\n
By the time my alarm went off about a quarter to 7 there was a fair amount of snow on the ground. \u00c2\u00a0I logged into my work email and IM’ed\u00c2\u00a0my boss. \u00c2\u00a0I was told we were on the inclement weather schedule and I could work from home. \u00c2\u00a0HELL YEAH! \u00c2\u00a0I headed back to bed and set my alarm for 8:20.<\/p>\n
After finally getting all of my work stuff set up on my computer I was ready to go. \u00c2\u00a0For a little while. \u00c2\u00a0Since most people were working from home the day was pretty slow. \u00c2\u00a0I managed to shower, cook M breakfast, catch up on my co-workers date and do a little work by lunch. \u00c2\u00a0The rest of the day was pretty slow and now it’s mostly ice outside. \u00c2\u00a0The snow stopped pretty early but we’ve had sleet and freezing rain on and off all day.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow we are following the same procedure as today. \u00c2\u00a0I will have to wake up and check to see if I am going in to work or working from home again. \u00c2\u00a0As much I enjoyed sitting around the house in my pj’s, working on my laptop is not the easiest thing. \u00c2\u00a0I am so used to having 2 monitors now that trying to use one makes certain things pretty difficult.<\/p>\n
I’ve enjoyed my “snow” day today. \u00c2\u00a0Although I’d prefer snow to ice. \u00c2\u00a0I didn’t even manage to take any pics today. \u00c2\u00a0This wasn’t the pretty shiny ice. \u00c2\u00a0Just the yucky, nasty, slushy ice. \u00c2\u00a0Should make tomorrow interesting since the temps will be below freezing again tonight.<\/p>\n
