I ordered my Christmas cards on the 30th. \u00c2\u00a0The company I used is normally really good about getting things out quickly so I never pay for faster shipping. \u00c2\u00a0Last week I get the “shipped” email and I start tracking my cards. \u00c2\u00a0I figured they should have arrived around Wednesday or Thursday. \u00c2\u00a0When they still weren’t here on Friday I checked my tracking and nothing had changed. \u00c2\u00a0I contacted the company to find out what the delay was. \u00c2\u00a0First they tell me the cards haven’t been picked up yet. \u00c2\u00a0I reply and STRONGLY suggest I would appreciate them being on a FedEx truck today. \u00c2\u00a0Well yesterday I get an email stating my cards had been “lost by carrier.” \u00c2\u00a0OMG!!! \u00c2\u00a0Are you kidding?!?!!? \u00c2\u00a0They also say they are reshipping and I should have them in 7 calender days.<\/p>\n
It’s cool it’s not like I have cards to send overseas. \u00c2\u00a0Ughh! \u00c2\u00a0Well I decided to track the “lost” cards and they are now in transit. \u00c2\u00a0I have a feeling I am going to end up with 100 Christmas cards. \u00c2\u00a0So I guess M and I will have some to rotate out for a few years \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
The good news gets even better today. \u00c2\u00a0On Friday, while I was out shopping I decided to run by one of the jewelry stores by the mall. \u00c2\u00a0I’d heard on the radio they were having a sale this weekend. \u00c2\u00a0Basically everything in the store was 20% off. \u00c2\u00a0I told M I would run by and see if the sale was worth going to. \u00c2\u00a0When I finally got a sales associate I looked at a few rings and found one I really liked. \u00c2\u00a0She quoted me a price and it made me very excited. \u00c2\u00a0I got home and told M about it. \u00c2\u00a0So yesterday he agreed to run by and check it out. \u00c2\u00a0Well we get there and speak to another girl and find out the price is actually double what I was quoted. \u00c2\u00a0I’m pretty sure you could see the disappointment all over my face. \u00c2\u00a0The girl was very nice and looked around the store to see if there were any others that were similar but more in our price range.<\/p>\n
She finally returned and said she would be happy to call a few of the designers and see if anyone would be able to make the ring within our price range. \u00c2\u00a0She asked for my name and number and said she would call. \u00c2\u00a0I honestly figured I wouldn’t hear from her. \u00c2\u00a0Because I figured she wouldn’t have any good news. \u00c2\u00a0Boy was I wrong. \u00c2\u00a0She called me around lunch and said she’d found a designer willing to make exactly want I wanted and with the discount it would be in our price range. \u00c2\u00a0I texted M and he said if I liked it to put down the deposit. \u00c2\u00a0So I called her back and I now have a wedding band currently being designed just for me. \u00c2\u00a0AND it should be here by Christmas! \u00c2\u00a0YAY! \u00c2\u00a0If for any reason we don’t like it we can also choose to not take it. \u00c2\u00a0So it’s not a bad deal. \u00c2\u00a0I’m so happy. \u00c2\u00a0I was pretty upset yesterday at the thought of not getting that ring.<\/p>\n
