I’m on my soapbox today so please bear with me. \u00c2\u00a0There are many things that annoy me, some of which I have bitched about on here and some I haven’t. \u00c2\u00a0I feel like I’m beating a dead horse at this point, but only because the issue has been resolved. \u00c2\u00a0But this morning, this is what I had planned to blog about so here goes.<\/p>\n
Now that I have a super cool phone with all the bells and whistles, I normally will skim through Facebook while the water is heating up for my shower. \u00c2\u00a0Nothing annoys me more then when a status update hits me the wrong way. \u00c2\u00a0I mean it’s before I’ve even had a chance to wake up! \u00c2\u00a0(Okay, so I do realize this is my OWN fault, but still \ud83d\ude09 )<\/p>\n
I have a cousin who is currently overseas. \u00c2\u00a0Her and her husband have been in the Middle East for a couple of years now. \u00c2\u00a0For a while her posts mainly bitched about various things related to living there. \u00c2\u00a0In the past year or so, I’m not sure of the time frame really, her FB posts have become increasingly liberal,\u00c2\u00a0controversial? \u00c2\u00a0I’m not sure either of those words truly describe it but that’s the best I’ve got for now. \u00c2\u00a0A normal post is something like “I think this and that’s the way it is.” \u00c2\u00a0Or “quote from some intelligent person who is insightful and wise – hence I will use this as mine so people will think I am wise and insightful.”<\/p>\n
While I don’t mind the quotes she posts, I find some of them amusing. \u00c2\u00a0This may sound snotty, but I know better. \u00c2\u00a0I think it’s funny the person she tries to be on FB. \u00c2\u00a0I guess that’s what all of it boils down to. \u00c2\u00a0Who she wants people to think she is and who I KNOW she is.<\/p>\n
So the latest FB post had to do with people responding to her statuses. \u00c2\u00a0This was the final straw. \u00c2\u00a0She’s done this before. \u00c2\u00a0She will post something, something she KNOWS will get a rise out of people, and then get pissed when they respond. \u00c2\u00a0This has happened several times with her posting that people should keep their opinions to themselves.<\/p>\n
I finally knew I had to respond to her post today. \u00c2\u00a0I responded with “if you don’t want people’s opinions then maybe you shouldn’t say it on fb.” \u00c2\u00a0HEHE! \u00c2\u00a0She responded that is wasn’t the responses but people “preaching” at her. \u00c2\u00a0Umm, okay! \u00c2\u00a0My mom even stepped in and agreed with me. \u00c2\u00a0After that post I decided for my own sanity, it was probably best to hide her posts going forward. \u00c2\u00a0Because, frankly, I DON’T CARE! \u00c2\u00a0She makes herself look like an idiot. \u00c2\u00a0I don’t have to witness it.<\/p>\n
Rant over, I will hop off my soapbox for now. \u00c2\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
