After much debate I decided to pay for my dress and have M’s mom pick it up and bring it to Raleigh.\u00c2\u00a0 I just couldn’t stand knowing it was sitting down there waiting for me.\u00c2\u00a0 M and I talked it over and decided this would work.\u00c2\u00a0 M’s mom will look over the dress and leave it at the house next weekend.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 So when we get home from our road trip to MS my dress will be there! YAY!!!!\u00c2\u00a0 I really am pretty excited.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend M and I had a wedding to attend in New Bern.\u00c2\u00a0 I’d never been to New Bern and it was a nice little break.\u00c2\u00a0 We drove down Saturday around lunch and as luck would have it just about the time we couldn’t pick up the State game on the radio they were headed to halftime.\u00c2\u00a0 When we got to our hotel room the second half had just started.\u00c2\u00a0 State put the hurtin’ on BC so I made M walk around the marina with me so I could take some pics.\u00c2\u00a0 We stayed in the Hilton which was right on the water.\u00c2\u00a0 Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day.\u00c2\u00a0 I got some good pics of the boats in the marina.\u00c2\u00a0 Then we got ready and headed to the wedding.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It was at the country club on the back lawn over looking the water.\u00c2\u00a0 It really was a pretty setting.<\/p>\n
Sunday morning M and I finally got up and I called my great aunt who lives in New Bern.\u00c2\u00a0 She is my grandmother’s sister.\u00c2\u00a0 I only vaguely remember seeing her once when I was very young.\u00c2\u00a0 We met her at a restaurant down the street from the hotel for brunch.\u00c2\u00a0 After brunch she gave us a “walking” tour of downtown.\u00c2\u00a0 She also showed us\u00c2\u00a0 a house she previously lived in and then took us over to her current house.\u00c2\u00a0 I had heard stories from my mom that my great aunt had been a model in New York at one point but I’d never seen any pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 She had several on display including a national cigarette ad she was in as well as some modeling photos.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 She was very pretty and had that pin-up girl look about her.\u00c2\u00a0 It was pretty cool to get to talk to her for a bit.<\/p>\n
M and I finally headed home after walking around downtown, since it was Mumfest.\u00c2\u00a0 It was actually a pretty nice and casual weekend.\u00c2\u00a0 But I am glad we will be home this weekend.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe I will actually get to watch an Auburn football game.\u00c2\u00a0 I feel like we’ve had so much going on and I keep missing games.\u00c2\u00a0 Although after seeing the score updates for this game I think I’m glad I didn’t watch.<\/p>\n
Now I guess I will try to pass the time until it is time to go home.<\/p>\n
